Using Yestara

Yestara is provided by Mallikarjun Tr. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You must be 18 or older to use Yestara. It makes memories with AI services whose own terms require every user to be an adult.

What Yestara makes

The memories Yestara generates for you — the writing and the images — are yours to keep, print, share and post. We claim no ownership of them.

They are made with AI. The writing is produced by Anthropic and the pictures by Google's Gemini API, from the year, place and choices you give. The privacy policy says exactly what is sent. Pictures may contain small mistakes a real photograph would not — a detail from the wrong decade, or lettering that means nothing.

They are evocations, not records. Yestara writes about a time and a place; it does not know what actually happened to you, and nothing it produces should be taken as a statement of fact about your life or anyone else's.

Content you provide

If a future version of Yestara lets you upload a photograph, these rules apply to it:

• You must own the photograph or have permission to use it.
• No content that is illegal, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, or that depicts a person without their consent.
• No impersonation, and nothing designed to deceive.
• You keep ownership of anything you upload. You give us permission only to process it in order to give you the result you asked for.

We may remove content and close accounts that break these rules.

Reporting a memory

If a memory Yestara makes is offensive, harmful, or wrong in a way that matters, tap Report this memory beneath it. We review reports within 24 hours and use them to stop the same thing happening again. You can also write to mallikarjuntrmalli@gmail.com.

Subscriptions and payment

• Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple, Google or Samsung, not by us. We never see your card details.
• Price and billing period are shown before you buy, and again in your store account.
• What each plan includes. No plan is unlimited.

• How memories are counted. Each new memory counts once, whether it is a story, a picture or both. A memory that could not be made is never counted.
• Memories are kept for you. Every memory Yestara makes is kept to your account as it is made, with nothing to press, and is there again when you sign in on another phone or reinstall the app. You can let any of them go from inside the app.
• When they refill. A free account's five refill on the first of each month (India time). A monthly membership's forty refill each time it renews; a yearly membership's refill every month on the day it was bought. Unused memories do not carry over. The app shows how many are left and when more arrive.
• When they run out, everything already made stays yours to open, share and set as a wallpaper, and Today's memory still arrives. New memories resume at the next refill.
• If demand is unusually high, a free account may be unable to make a new memory for the rest of that day. Nothing is counted when that happens, and everything you have already made is still there. We will not reduce what a membership includes during a period you have paid for; any change applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you in the app first.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel in your store account settings — we cannot cancel one for you.
• Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its policy.
• Deleting your Yestara account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel first, then delete.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time by deleting your account — in the app, or via the deletion page. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why.

What we do not promise

Yestara is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not promise that any particular memory it generates will please you. To the extent the law allows, Mallikarjun Tr is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Yestara. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Changes

If these terms change we will update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
